Forget road maps -- these maps are for Rhode Island's paddlers.

The Rhode Island Blueways Alliance and other local nonprofit organizations have partnered to create 20 full-color maps that detail paddle tours across the state.

Featured trips include ones on the Pawtuxet, Wood, Moshassuck, Woonasquatucket rivers, Warwick's Buckeye Brook, Ten Mile River, and Quonochontaug, Ninigret, Point Judith and Green Hill ponds.

The maps include paddling information and directions to launch locations. Many also include historical and natural history information on places along the way. They can be downloaded free at www.ExploreRI.org.
